Modern Foreign Languages

St. Stephen’s School has an exciting Modern Foreign Language (MFL) learning programme and our children’s progress in Modern Foreign Languages is outstanding.

French is taught across the school. Staff have an ongoing professional development and support from a specialist teacher. The children are taught by both a specialist MFL teacher and their class teacher.

In all year groups our MFL programme covers the statutory aspects of oral, literal and multicultural understanding, ensuring that children have a solid foundation for excellent achievement in a foreign language at later stages of their education.
